A taste of Tuscany....

Hi all.

Been a bit busy lately, but I really wanted to go out to the shed today, even if just to 'doodle' a bit with the paint.

I found a pile of coasters (drink mats) on a shelf, and thought they would be just the thing to have some fun with.

First one of the rank -

A little bit of Tuscany, folk art style.

Not sure what I will do with these painted coasters - I suppose I could be revolutionary and just use them as coasters! (aka, drink mats).

cheers

  1. Cute! I love Tuscany. So funny...the whole mat/coaster issue was what started the English/American dictionary ( on my sidebar) a year or two ago. Remember that? We were all having so much fun w it I couldn't delete it! Hey, speaking of sidebar, I have added your blog twice now to my blog list but it doesn't show up. Any idea why?

  2. Oh I meant to mention....when we were in Tuscany, poppies were everywhere! I love that you painted them on the coaster! All I've ever heard about were sunflowers so I was surprised to see all the poppies!

    Me again!

  5. Love how you all call them drink mats! Makes more sense than the word coaster to me. Love the first one and cannot wait to see your future installments to the collection. :-)
