Hello, my name is Fiona Hayward and I am a folk painter and general creator of crafty things, living in Australia (but originally from Scotland).
I love vintage/cottage/rustic styles of decorating.
I started to paint folk art (or decorative art) about 23 years ago.
Throughout that time I have come full circle.
I started out with the simple forms of folk painting, then progressed through to more advanced styles of painting, including trompe l'oeil.I have now returned to my first love of folk art painting, and it feels like I have 'come home'.
